An institute started in the year 1992, with a mission and vision to improve the agriculture research. By preserving environmental resources and protecting from exploiting and pollution, a focus is laid on food, dry land crops and other useful plants. It set some targets to meet the needs and demands of the local people. Accordingly departments are formed and run to carry out the research work. The work mainly concentrates on agronomy, plant breeding and crop protection. Institute is provided with management services, library, laboratories, and instrumentation center.
