Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT) is one of the most reputed medical institutions in the South Asian region which is located in Sindh region of Pakistan. It is providing specialised medical care to the patients at large who are suffering from liver, kidney, related cancers and ethical transplant procedures.
SIUT was founded by Dr. Abidul Hasan Rizvi and is Pakistan’s largest kidney disease centre and also its largest public sector health organisation. SIUT started its journey as an 8 bed ward in a civil Hospital located in Karachi. The services which are provided by SIUT including dialysis and transplantation are free to the public.
SIUT predominantly serves the marginalised segments of society specially hailing from rural and urban parts of the Pakistan. In 2005 SIUT Trust was created as a charitable trust for benefitting the public aiming to provide medical care freely. Now SIUT is with 500 beds and is regionally one of the best equipped diagnosis centres for Urology and Transportation in Pakistan.
