The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research

The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), are a group of leading science education and research institutes in India. These institutions have been acknowledged by Act of Parliament as institutions of national importance and are planned to be the IITs of basic sciences. The institutes were formed by the Government of India, complete the Organization of Human Resource Progress (MHRD), beneath The National Institutes of Technology (Amendment) Bill, 2010 (an amendment of the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007), which was approved by the Rajya Sabha on 30 April 2012. Seven IISERs have been recognized across the country, namely IISER Kolkata in West Bengal, IISER Pune in Maharashtra, IISER Mohali in Punjab, and IISER Berhampur in Odisha. Composed with the IISER at Berhampur, Odisha that created in 2016, another IISER in Nagaland was also declared in the 2015 Budget. The financial expense for each IISER is around ₹5 billion (US$74 million) for the first five years. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Kolkata was working from the temporary campus at Mohanpur, a provisional planning within the campus of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya before and now almost all the labs have been moved to its stable campus, over 250 acres (1.0 km2) of land at Haringhata, Kalyani near Kolkata. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Pune has on-going operative from the National Chemical Laboratory Pune campus. Its campus has mostly been settled. The labs, lecture hall complexe,main buildings,hostels have been associated. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali has underway operative from the Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration complex in Sector 26 Chandigarh. The substance stone for its everlasting campus was laid in September 2006 by the Prime Minister of India, Manmohan Singh. The teaching program has started from August 2007.Now Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Mohali is completely working on its everlasting campus at Sector 81, Mohali.
