The Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis is a research facility institute. It is located in Karlsruhe from Germany. The Institute for Technology Assessment and Systems Analysis was founded in 1 July 1995.It was affiliated from University of Karlsruhe. It is largest scientific institute in Germany. Now it is leading more than 100 research works. ITAS is a member of a number of international networks. It is located throughout Germany at four locations they are Berlin, Munich, Dresden, Stuttgart. The executive managers are Peter Dortans and Dr. Werner Wilke. It has several departments with nine specialised sectors and five cross sectional departments. ITAS generates and communicates knowledge on the impacts of human action and their evaluation in view of the improvement and use of new technologies. Its work focuses on environmental, economic, social and political-institutional issues. Alternative options for action and design are developed and calculated. In this way ITAS supports politics, science, business and the general public in future decision-making.
