The Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen or the University College West Flanders (in English) commonly known as HOWEST, is located in the West-Flanders province, in Belgium. In the year 1995, University College West-Flanders came into existence as a single autonomous Higher Education Institution because of a merger of six prominent institutions of higher education in Flanders. Since, then the university has gained a lot of appreciation for its quality education as is now one of the leading higher education institutions of the province HOWEST has a growing international reputation.
