Adverse Drug Reaction

As per available reports about 60 journals, 58 Conferences, 21 workshops are presently dedicated exclusively to medicine safe and about  1989 articles are being published on the current trends in Adverse Drug Reaction.  In terms of research annually, USA, India, Japan, Brazil and Canada are some of the leading countries where maximum studies related to Adverse Drug Reaction  are being carried out. Adverse Drug Reaction  is an injury caused by taking a medication. ADRs may occur following a single dose or prolonged administration of a drug or result from the combination of two or more drugs. The meaning of this expression differs from the meaning of "side effect", as this last expression might also imply that the effects can be beneficial. The study of ADRs is the concern of the field known as pharmacovigilance.

The Journal of Pharmacovigilance is an academic journal – hosted by OMICS International. The purpose of the Journal of Pharmacovigilance (JP) is to publish quality case reports, original research and review articles about the pharmaceutical intervention safety, side effects and adverse effects as well as medications toxicity. Unintended effects are common yet often times there is lack of qualitative and quantitative data that allows for an accurate assessment of the risk/benefits profile of pharmaceuticals. The Journal of Pharmacovigilance aims to fill this important knowledge gap.
