As per available reports about 15 journals, 18 Conferences, workshops are presently dedicated exclusively to astrobiology and about 930 articles are being published on the current trends in astrobiology. In terms of research annually, USA, India, Japan, Brazil and Canada are some of the leading countries where maximum studies related to proteomics are being carried out. As reported in the above mentioned 930 articles, Astrobiology is the study of the origin, evolution, distribution, and future of life in the universe. To provide this understanding, astrobiology combines the knowledge and techniques from many fields, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, geology, atmospheric science, oceanography and aeronautical engineering. This interdisciplinary field encompasses the search for habitable environments in our Solar System and habitable planets outside our Solar System, the search for evidence of prebiotic chemistry, laboratory and field research into the origins and early evolution of life on Earth, and studies of the potential for life to adapt to challenges on Earth and in outer space.
