In terms of research annually, USA, India, Japan, Brazil and Canada are some of the leading countries where maximum studies related to coastal geomorphology are being carried out. A great deal of work was done in the 20th century on various parts of the world’s coastline, particularly in Europe and North America, it is only in the past few decades that coastal research has become widespread, and there is still plenty of opportunity for original contributions.
