In terms of research annually, USA, India, Japan, Brazil and Canada are some of the leading countries where maximum studies related to Informatics are being carried out. As reported in Improving the Proteomic Analysis of Archival Tissue by Using Pressure- Assisted Protein Extraction: A Mechanistic Approach, Proteomic technology has advanced to a state where thousands of proteins can be identified within complex samples , yet diseasebased studies using fresh or frozen tissues are hampered by the limited availability of specimens for longitudinal clinical investigations. In contrast, tissue archives contain millions of formalin-fixed, paraffinembedded (FFPE) tissues for which the clinical course of disease and response to therapy has been established. Unfortunately, protein modifications by formaldehyde treatment and histological processing have frustrated attempts to use FFPE tissues for proteomic analyses due to the difficulty in extracting representative proteins.
