A sonometer is an apparatus made of a hollow box having two holes. A sonometer demonstrates the relationship between the frequency of the sound produced by a plucked string, and the tension, length and mass per unit length of the string, as described by Thomas B. Greenslade Jr. (A Vertical Sonometer", Phys. Teach., 24, 90-91 (1986). There have been around 300 articles published on sonometer in various journals. The Journal of Electrical & Electronic Systems is an academic journal – hosted by OMICS International.
