Alfredo Moscardini visited Alanya in 1996 from Sunderland University to examine a branch of their own university. Alanya will be in the spotlights not only for its fame in the tourism sector but also for its investment in education and thus for its academic appeal after opening the foundation university in addition to ALTSO Vocational College. The first building of the university in the Nimet and Abdurrahman Alaettinoglu compound, built with the donations from the benefactors of Alanya is now complete. Academic and administrative staff has moved in. Alanya HEP University is primarily going to start international academic exchange programs and will cooperate with the universities in Alanya’s twin cities, and will offer Masters and PhD programs. Alanya is offering Architecture course, Arts and Design, tourism, Graduate school of social sciences, School of foreign Languages.
