The foundation of the General Laboratory of Assaigs and Investigations (LGAI) was done in 1907 in Barselona. In 1921, all the laboratories are unified under the name of Laboratori General dAssaigs i Condicionament. In 2003, Privatization of LGAI with its incorporation to private company Applus + as a division dedicated to testing and certification. In 2006, Applus + LGAI activities is started in China. In 2013, opening of a new material testing laboratory in Norway dedicated to the oil and gas sector. In 2015, acquisition of Arcadia Aerospace Industries LLC, an American company specialized in the service and development of automated non-destructive inspections for the aerospace industry. Applus + is one of the worlds leading companies in Testing, Inspection and Certification. Applus + have 18, 700 employees and have a network of more than 350 offices and laboratories in more than 70 countries on all continents. The Laboratory having 15 centers and has the function of providing technological support to the industry through laboratory tests, calibration of measurement equipment, certifications, technical training and research and development (R + D). Applus + Laboratories (LGAI Technological Center SA) specializes in the development of technical solutions to improve the competitiveness of products and encourage innovation. The mission of Applus + Laboratories (LGAI Technological Center SA) is providing technological support to industry through laboratory tests, calibration of measuring equipment, certification, technical training and research and development (R & D).
