B.S. Abdur Rahman University was established under Section 3 of the UGC Act , 1956, by confe r ring deemed to be University status by the UGC and Gov ernment of India to the e rstwhile B.S. Abdur Rahman Crescent Engineering Co l lege , which was rendering outstanding service to the c ause of technical education since 1984. Being a n University, it strives to achieve the goal of becoming one of the leading Universities by focuss ing on teaching and learning, research , c onsultancy and extension activities. The University not only believes in transparent administration but also in establishing sound systems and procedures and implementation of the same to achieve the goal . Over the period of time the Institution has established such system s , procedure s and rules for an effective administration. All the procedures and rules relating to the staff have been compiled into a book, titled “Employees Service Rules and Duties & Respon sibilities” for the benefit of the employees.
