Beijing Wuzi University (BWU) is a municipal university in Beijing. BWU, originated from Beijing Economics Institute, was founded in 1980. Its staff mainly came from the Department of Goods and Materials Management of Beijing Economics Institute when it was founded. BWU now has 8,000 enrolled students, which includes undergraduates, postgraduates and students from foreign countries. The amount of postgraduates is around 600. The students come from 28 provinces or regions, and the majority of them come from Beijing. Over 60,000 students have graduated from the university in the past 30 years. The graduates enjoy excellent reputation in the society, especially in the field of logistics, securities and futures. At present, the university has 700 staff members, and 437 are full-time teachers. There are 44 professors and 150 associate professors in BWU. 28.15% teachers have been awarded doctoral degrees, and 43.94% have got master degrees. BWU has taken the opportunity to have explorations, innovation and scientific development under the leadership of Beijing municipal government as well as the support of people in the country in the past 30 years.
