Belgian Textile Research Centre was founded in 1950 at the initiative of Fedustria to reinforce the competitive position of the Belgian textile companies. Belgian Textile Research Centre offers an extensive range of activities to the textile industry, including Research & Development, testing, certification, consultancy, and training. This centre was founded with the purpose of sustainably strengthening the position of Belgian textile companies in the global market. The objectives of the research Centre includes independent and objective advice, the expertise of 160 highly educated collaborators, trans-sectorial and international networking, focus on sustainable development, practice-oriented support, partnership, an open approach, etc. In the year 2014, Belgian Textile Research Centre became a division of Centexbel, by the virtue of which the expertise and services are expanded to the plastic converting industry. Research includes microbiology, cytotoxicity, etc. Belgian Textile Research Centre offers facilities like textile coating & finishing, semi-industrial extrusion lines, knitting platform, etc.
