This centre was founded with the purpose of sustainably strengthening the position of Belgian textile companies in the global market. The objectives of the research Centre includes independent and objective advice, the expertise of 160 highly educated collaborators, trans-sectorial and international networking, focus on sustainable development, practice-oriented support, partnership, an open approach, etc. In the year 2014, Belgian Textile Research Centre became a division of Centexbel, by the virtue of which the expertise and services are expanded to the plastic converting industry. Research includes microbiology, cytotoxicity, etc. Belgian Textile Research Centre offers facilities like textile coating & finishing, semi-industrial extrusion lines, knitting platform, etc.
