Benaki Phytopathological Institute

The Benaki Phytopathological Institute (BPI) was established by the 14 to 7/17/9/1930 decree was ratified by 7.1.1930 Grant Agreement between the Minister of Agriculture and testamentary heirs Emmanouil Benaki and in accordance with the law 4160/1929 (Government Gazette 198A) having order "Tash Phytopathological research on topics of interest to our place and the implementation of measures and afford the means for the prolipsin of diseases and injuries of loss of agricultural plants our production ". The Institute is governed by the Statute of (GG 1155 / B / 1998). Institute has certificate ISO 9001: 2008 in the field of co-management projects without technical content. The main aim is to achieve integrated management of agricultural production, the production of competitive and quality agricultural products, procedures safe for the environment, consumer products and agricultural workers in agricultural production. The institute has the following Scientific Departments i.e., department of Fytopathologias, Faculty and Agricultural zoology entomology, department of Pesticides control and Fytofarmakeftliks. The contract provided for a donation to the recommendation provided by the BPI as a legal person in public law (legal) .The inauguration function was held on July 1, 1931 by the then Prime Minister Eleftherios Venizelos. The Institute research programs and projects funded by the European Union, the Ministry of Agriculture, The General Secretariat for Research and Technology, Local Authorities and other public or private entities.
