Brien Holden Vision Institute: On 3rd September 2012, the International Centre for Eye Care Education officially became known as Brien Holden Vision Institute. In 1985, the institute for Eye research was established by the founders of the CCLRU, but as an independent but still university affiliated research organization. In the last 14 years, the institute had delivered sustainable eye care services, education, training programs, research in 54 countries. The regions where they currently work are Africa, America, Eastern Mediterranean, Europe, South Asia, and the Western Pacific. The institute has established 13 offices worldwide and provided optometric services and glasses to 2.5 million people at our 429 vision centres.
