Canadian International College Egypt The Canadian International College (CIC) was established in 2004, the first Canadian college in Cairo, Egypt which is partnered with University of Ottawa and Cape Breton University (Sheikh Zayed Campus). CIC has been the premier college and the exclusive provider of Canadian education in Egypt. CIC offers programs in Business Administration, Business Information Technology, Engineering and Mass Communication. CIC is committed to offer exceptional academic environment with a hands-on market approach that helps students to gain knowledge, skills needed for the challenging market and professional ethics to compete locally, and in a partnership with the Canadian universities to qualify graduates to work regionally and internationally. The institute supports scientific research and gaining the community trust. The college remains unique for its Undergraduate student count of 2000 members with worldwide ranking of 5778 in excellence. CIC works with a main goal to offer Canadian higher education to serve the widest range of students spread out over Cairo. Meanwhile CIC grew from one campus to another making CIC one of the most accessible colleges in the area. CIC has been collaborated with few more universities like Lakehead University, Memorial University MBA Program and University of Windsor. CIC is taking the initiative in introducing a new concept of "Organic vs. Linear Learning". Organic learning addresses the fact that not all students are able to learn in class at the same pace with the same capacity. Also the individual differences in personal characteristics of students might interfere in the level of engagement, play a key role in the technological advancement of the Egyptian industry through the co-operative education program. The co-operative education internship program gives students the opportunity to enrich their education by alternating periods of classroom study with up to four periods of off-campus work experience at major local, Arab and international companies.
