The Carolinas Medical Center (CMC) is a not-for-profit research hospital based at Charlotte, NC, USA and is a part of Carolinas HealthCare System. CMC is the largest hospital in the region and is among five teaching hospitals in the State. It is greatly serving Charlotte community with broad range of healthcare services which include Cardiovascular, Neurosciences, Orthopedics, Rehabilitation, Surgery, Trauma and Womens Services. It has been providing high quality cardiac care in association with Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute for heart patients of all ages for more than 50 years. It is the only hospital in the region to provide heart transplant services. CMC provides extensive care for patients affected with spinal card, brain and nerve problems. Among many brain and spine services at CMC, epilepsy, Parkinsons disease and sleep disorders are a few to name. In 2011, U.S. News & World Report Americas Best Hospitals recognized CMC for its quality orthopedic services. The 17 rehabilitation programs of CMC have been accredited by CARF which defines top quality of rehabilitation services.
