CASACCIA Research Centre is a complex group of research and development laboratories located 25 km away from Rome city and it is the largest center under ENEA which is an Italian government sponsored R&D agency. The name came from the location of its first set of laboratories, ‘La Casaccia’ established in 1959. It is the primary centre in Italy where research is conducted in large spectrum of disciplines. The centre is dedicated for research, development, application and dissemination of novel technologies. Research is carried at Casaccia Centre in following areas: Energy efficiency, Renewable energy sources, Nuclear Fission, Environment and climate, Health and safety, new technologies, and Searching for electrical system.
