Catholic University of Pernambuco (UNICAP) is a Jesuit university and located in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. It is locally known as Universidade Católica de Pernambuco. The university was founded in 1943 and established in 1951. It is accredited by Ministério da Educação, Brazil. The university provides a Jesuit education to over 15,000 students in the liberal arts, social sciences, natural sciences, and professional studies. The collection of free access to over 449,000 copies is composed of several collections, distributed on various floors of the Library, covering the areas of Social and Applied Sciences, Humanities, Linguistics, Literature and Arts, Exact and Earth, Health, Biological, and Agricultural Engineering. The Student Exchange Program offered by UNICAP aims at giving students an academic experience, for one or two semesters in an IES national or international level, through agreements of mutual cooperation in education.
