The Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece (CHS GR) is a Harvard international Center that unites the humanistic pursuits of the CHS in Washington D.C. with the homeland of Hellenism. The Center’s main mission is to support and promote the Hellenic civilization, and to bring together scholars studying these subjects, while it functions as a base of operations for scholars, students and researchers from Harvard as well as other academic institutions from the U.S., Greece, and elsewhere. The Nafplio Center has been equipped and uses cutting-edge technology to bring the academic resources of Harvard to Greece. An important part of the Center’s mission is outreach, and for that reason the Center for Hellenic Studies in Greece offers a regular program of events and activities, and organizes, co-organizes, hosts and supports a multitude of innovative and interdisciplinary programs addressed not only to Harvard and other academic institutions but also to the local community of Argolis region, the Peloponnese, and Greece in general.
