The Citadelle Regional Hospital Center , or more simply CHR of the Citadel , is a Belgian public hospital located on the heights of the city of Liège in the district of Sainte-Walburge , on the site of the old Citadel destroyed after the Second World War. Construction of the hospital began in 1974 and was completed in the 1980s. Over 80% of our staff lives in the Greater Liège. The CHR promotes the employment of the youngest and contributes to the increase in the level of competence of the less qualified. It participate in several integration programs or vocational training in collaboration with CPAS, Forem, training centers and organizations for social and professional integration. The gynecology and obstetrics department of CHR de la Citadelle opened its doors in 1986. It represents the general implantation of the Department of Gynecology-Obstetrics and Reproductive Physiology of the University of Liège. There is close collaboration between the CHR of the Citadelle, the CHU and the University of Liège. The gynecology and obstetrics department is made up of a multidisciplinary team composed of the medical profession, the nursing body (midwives, nurses, nurses) and the paramedical (medico-social workers, physiotherapists, social workers). The service is coordinated by a specialist medical officer. He is assisted by two physicians, deputy heads of departments.
