China Three Gorges University (CTGU) is positioned in Yichang City, Hubei province, China. The college is positioned at Xiling District, close to to the Xiling Gorge, one of the Three Gorges.

CTGU is a complete college set up on June 29, 2000 after the merger of the University of Hydraulic and Electric Engineering at Yichang, Hubei Sanxia University, and a medical university founded in 1946.
