ABOUT The Health Consortium (CSB), public body established by the Government of Catalonia and the Barcelona City Council, assigned to the Catalan Health Service, performs the duties of a health region of Barcelona; therefore, assumes those relating to the organization, planning, management and coordination of the management of centers, services and establishments of health care, social health and public health in the territory of the city of Barcelona. The main objective of the whole organization and professional staff is to provide quality health services for all citizens, tailored to their needs, ensuring the correction of inequalities and the inclusion of services that respond to new health needs of our population, with adequate resources and framed within the objectives established in the health plan. Quality, equity and efficiency are key concepts that guide the activities of the Consortium. To achieve these objectives, the CSB various strategic actions such as promoting effective coordination between the various devices in the health system that will allow a more holistic approach to the care given to the citizen through the Health Corporation of Barcelona
