College State University (CCSU) was made by means of an Act of the Government of Assam (Act XIX of 2011), with Cotton College as a constituent College of this new University. This Act got the consent of the Honorable Governor of Assam on the third of September 2011, and was advised by means of the Assam Gazette on fifth September 2011. The vision of this new University is to be a world-class one, exceeding expectations in both instructing and research, creating information and aptitudes with an accentuation on this piece of our nation, giving wide based training to understudies to go up against the difficulties of tomorrow by means of current educational program, learning and evaluation techniques, maintaining the most noteworthy moral principles, and giving a spotless, effective and straightforward organization.
