The Donostia International Physics Center (DIPC) was made in 1999 thus of an institutional coordinated effort between the Departments of Education and Industry of the Basque Government, the University of the Basque Country, the Provincial Council of GuipÃºzcoa, the City Council of San SebastiÃ¡n, Kutxa of GuipÃºzcoa and San SebastiÃ¡n. Iberdrola SA likewise took an interest in the venture amid the period 2000-2003. Naturcorp Multiservicios SA was fused in 2004, trailed by TelefÃ³nica SA in 2005.
The DIPC was conceived as a scholarly focus whose primary target is to advance and catalyze the improvement at the most abnormal amount of essential and fundamental situated research in materials science. Since its creation, the DIPC has been an open organization connected to the University of the Basque Country, which fills in as a stage for the internationalization of essential science in the Basque Country in the field of materials.In its short life, the DIPC Foundation has turned into a global reference in fundamental research in the field of Materials Physics. This pertinence is confirm by the nature of the specialists who have directed research remains at the Foundation, the global level of the Congresses held inside it and, principally, the significance of the logical commitments made accordingly of the movement created In the DIPC.
