The Jozsef Eotvos College was founded in 1870. It is one of the higher education institutions in Baja. The college predecessor, the Baja State Teachers Training Institute József Eötvös is constituted under Bill 1870 . October 17 th. 7 September 1959 from a teacher training takes place post-secondary level, rather than the former secondary school (in accordance with changes in legislation). On September 1, 1962 the National Directorate of Water Management Water Management founded the Higher Technical Centre. The Technical School from 1970 to the Technical University of Budapest Water Management College Faculty, and in 1979 in Pécs, Pollack Mihály College attached. Baja citys two higher education institutions merged in 1996, it created the first integrated colleges in the country. A liberal arts education and training in the faculties of Education Wood (later the Faculty of Educational Sciences), technical and management training in technical faculties Wood (later the Faculty of Technology and Economics) are in progress. In 2016 the faculty division ceases. Jozsef Eotvos College has quite a number of institutions and professional group under it. Some of them are: Teacher Training Institute consists of: Pedagogy and Psychology Group, Hungarian language and literature expert group, Art, technology and physical education specialist group National and Foreign Language Institute consists of: English professional group, Croatian trade group,German trade group Economics Institute consists of: Economics expert group and Management Sciences expert group The institution also provides training in Business Management, kindergarten teacher with different specialization like Gypsy, Roma, German. There are approx. 800 students studying in this institute. And this institute does provide a large number of scholarship and Grants such as Regular Social Scholarship, Emergency Social Scholarship, Republic of Scholarship, Baja Scholarship etc. etc.
