By focusing on applied research and development, Carinthia University of Applied Sciences offers the region easy access to research facilities. More importantly however, the resulting technology transfer joins cooperation partners, academic staff and students in a mutually nourishing process of increasing scientific qualification and, in particular, fostering the education of master students.
CUAS has a network of over 160 international partner universities, which guarantees the exchange of students and lecturers from all over the world. The master degree programs taught in English open the doors to applicants from all over the world. In 2007/08 alone the number of international students comprised almost 20 % of the total number of students. The most international FH-site is Villach.
Its unique geographical location with the neighboring countries of Slovenia and Italy makes Carinthia a multicultural region. three different languages and three different cultures can be experienced in just one day. Moreover CUAS International Office organizes additional social and cultural events where local and international students have the opportunity to meet and get to know one another better.
