The Ciedes Foundation is a private non-profit foundation, made up of the main institutions and entities of the city. Among its objectives set out in the Statutes, three key areas of action stand out. Created on July 27, 1994, its birth was a national landmark because it was the first time that all the institutions and the main economic and social agents of a city took the step of joining forces to work together for the future. The time and actions under way have shown that the Foundation has been a fundamental tool for the development of Malaga and the design of its city model in a plural, participative and consensual way, based on the tool of Strategic Planning. The realization of the Strategic Planning of the city of Malaga, fruit of which have arisen the two strategic plans of the same and multiple actions; The active presence of Malaga in national and international city networks, including CIDEU (Ibero-American Center for Strategic Urban Development), AERYC (Americas and Europe of Cities and Regions) and RADEUT (Andalusian Network for Strategic Development Urban and Territorial); Designing and managing international cooperation projects and exchanging experiences and good practices through European and international funds such as Ecos Ouverture; Urb-al, Interreg or Poctefex. The Trust of the CIEDES Foundation is made up of the following institutions and entities: Málaga City Council - Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Navigation Comisiones Obreras - Confederación de Empresarios Provincial Delegation - Federation of AA.VV. Junta de Andalucía - Technological Park of Andalusia Port of Málaga - Government Subdelegation General Union of Workers - Unicaja University of Málaga. Two data are fundamentally noteworthy in this Yearbook 2014. On the one hand, the increase in economic activity in Malaga, around 1.8%, above Spain and Andalusia; And on the other, the very positive results of the tourism sector in the city of Malaga, surpassing 2 million overnight stays. The Foundation presents the 2013 yearbook of its "Málaga, Economy and Society" Bulletin, in which the economic activity in the capital for the second consecutive year stands out. It stands out the Tourism sector that beats a historical record in the number of overnight stays with almost two million. The city of Malaga registers a slight growth of economic activity in 2012, and keeps employment stable. These are some of the main conclusions contained in the Yearbook made public by the CIEDES Foundation, a publication that, as usual, reviews the most relevant aspects in socioeconomic matters. Boletín Málaga Economy and Society, yearbook 2012. The CIEDES Foundation presents the 2011 yearbook of its "Málaga Economía y Sociedad" Bulletin, a publication prepared by Analistas Económicos de Andalucía and supervised by the Foundation itself, which analyzes the main socio-economic data and how they have affected Málaga capital. The CIEDES Foundation works on other challenges such as: Research, study and analysis of the reality of Malaga. The promotion of any action favorable to the social and economic development of Malaga. The promotion of the active presence of Malaga in all aspects, at the provincial, regional, national and international level. The carrying out of advisory, study, diagnosis, opinion and other support activities, to other public or private entities in their own subject matter. The planning and execution of marketing and advertising campaigns to promote citizen participation and defend the interests and image of Malaga, seeking coordination with the actions of other institutions and public and private entities.
