The "G. dAnnunzio" University of Chieti-Pescara(Italian: Università degli Studi "G. dAnnunzio" Chieti-Pescara) is a university located in the neighbouring cities of Chieti and Pescara. It was founded in 1960 and is organised in 12 Faculties. Student enrolment at the University is currently in excess of 29,000. The ‘Gabriele d’Annunzio’ University, established in 1965 as a ‘Libera Università’ (non state-owned university), became state-owned in 1982. Today, it has 14 Departments and 2 Schools. There are two university campuses: Chieti, registered office of the university with the offices of the Rector and General Directorate and Pescara.
