The Gordon Center for Medical Imaging is a multidisciplinary research center with a mission to improve patient care by catalyzing and translating developments in molecular imaging agents and advanced quantitative imaging technologies. Gordon Center focuses on research, translation to clinical application and training of the next generation of scientists and engineers in medical imaging.Gordon Research center was started by Bernard and Sophia Gordon.. In 2015, the Gordon Center for Medical Imaging, a multidisciplinary research center at the Massachusetts General Hospital, was created with an endowment from the Bernard and Sophia Gordon Foundation in order to develop new medical imaging technologies and train the next generation of researchers and biomedical engineers. First positron-imaging device was invented in Radiological Sciences. Today, the Gordon Center focuses on research, translation to clinical application and training of the next generation of scientists and engineers in medical imaging.
