Introduction
Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) is a freely supported tertiary establishment with a Christian instruction legacy. It was set up as Hong Kong Baptist College with the support of American Baptists, who gave both working and development assets and staff to the school in its initial years.
It got to be Hong Kong Baptist University in 1994 amid the administration of Dr. Daniel Tse Chi-wai, LLD, GBS, CBE, JP, who succeeded the Founding President, Dr. Lam Chi-fung, as the second leader of the University in 1971. Following 30 years of administrations to the University, Dr. Daniel Tse Chi-wai resigned in 2001 and Prof. Ng Ching-fai, GBS, was delegated as the third leader of the University. In 2010, Prof. Albert Chan Sun-chi expected office as the fourth leader of HKBU.

CAMPUS
HKBU has five main campuses:

•    Baptist University Road Campus (1998)
•    Kai Tak Campus(2005)
•    Shek Mun Campus (2006)
The first three campuses are located in the urban heart of Kowloon Tong, while the Kai Tak Campus is on Kwun Tong Road and the Shek Mun Campus in Sha Tin.

As indicated by Times Higher Education World University Rankings, HKBU was positioned 45th of Top 50 Universities of Asia in 2015. HKBU was additionally positioned 318th of the Top Universities in the World by QS World University Rankings in 2014-2015 and 57th of the QS University "50 under 50" by QS World University Rankings in 2014-2015 and 51st for Asian Universities QS World University Rankings in 2014-2015.
Software engineering and Mathematics of HKBU was positioned 151-200th in the subject fields positioning among the world by Academic Ranking of World Universities in 2013.

Accommodation
Year 1 undergraduate international students will be provided accommodation in the Undergraduate Halls for nine months. Depending on occupancy, postgraduate students will either be housed in on-campus or off-campus accommodation.

Fees and scholarships

Educational cost expenses are generally economical by universal gauges. The cost of learning at the college as a universal (non-neighborhood) undergrad understudy is roughly HK$170,000 every year for government-financed programs, including educational cost charges, settlement and essential costs.
Full scholarships are available for academically outstanding international undergraduate students.

RESEARCH

While research at HKBU spans a broad range of areas under Vision 2020, the university’s 10-year development plan, the university encourages interdisciplinary research and theme-based research in four focus areas:

The Fellowship provides an annual stipend of HK$240,000 (approximately US$30,000) and a conference- and research-related travel allowance of HK$10,000 (approximately US$1,300) per year to each awardee for a period of up to three years.
