The Hong Kong Centre for the Development of Educational Leadership (HKCDEL) was established in 1998 as a major society for developing the novel trends in practice, understanding and development of leadership qualities at all levels of education. Through working closely with practicing educational leaders, HKCDEL aims at providing quality research, development and training activities for educational leaders in Hong Kong, the Asia-Pacific Region and the wider international community. The main objective of The Hong Kong Centre for the Development of Educational Leadership (HKCDEL) aims at promoting the professionalism of educational leaders by providing supportive services in the form of training courses and offering consultancy services to individuals and institutions.
Hong Kong Centre for the Development of Educational Leadership conducts research in various fields of Arts & languages, Biological Sciences, Business Administration, Education, Engineering, Law, Medicine, Physical science and Social Sciences. There are many scholars who serve for this institute includes Dr. LAO Tzu Hsi Terence, Dr. LEUNG Tak Yeung who works for the development of the research in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Chan Anthony and Dr. Lei Kenny also serve for the development of research in the field of Oncology. Dr. CHENG KM is another professor whose research interests include Meteorology. Dr. CHU Ming Chung holds expertise in the field of Gravitational Waves, Relativity and Astrophysics, Particle Physics, etc.
The main purpose of the establishment of this society is to conduct and support quality research into relevant and current leadership issues, to initiate and collaborate in creative development projects and to cultivate networks for the purpose of furthering leadership knowledge skills.
