The Hospital La Ribera was inaugurated in February 1999 and it is the first visual example of a successful public-private association representing a wide range quality management of the public health services in Spain. The health division of La Ribera is organised by the Ribera Salud group in association with the Generalitat Valenciana which focus on providing latest innovative ideas to the Public health. The Health Department of Hospital La Ribera is a part of the Region of Valencia public healthcare network, which offers quality health care to more than 250,000 citizens of the region of La Ribera. The hospital is arranged with broad portfolio of services with More than 2000 professionals also uses the most advanced technology, also the consolidated primary care division includes 11 health centres among which 5 are Integrated Health Centres and separately 32 auxiliary clinics. They have 50 subdivisions in health care specialities such as Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, comprehensive treatment of Cancer or Radiotherapy, Thoracic Surgery, etc. The Health Department of La Ribera is proactive and collaborates with various Institutes, societies and associations and manage under graduate and post graduate training. Along with this they have established their own provisions of specialised health training centres with subdivision of MIR, FIR and EIR. The Teaching Committee is the intellectual body responsible for organizing, supervising, training and monitoring all the applications and strategies in the hospital. They set targets to reach the goals of providing the citizens with quality health care, also undertake training programs for different specialties in Health Sciences. The Committee supervises the practical application of training among all the health services equally. As every health care centre should mainly work and focus on three main functions, research, teaching and sharing knowledge. The La Ribera health care division promotes latest and quality research among its professionals. Research Committee-Research Ethics Committee was established by the department of health care of La Ribera in the year 2002 in order to make the professionals of hospital available with continuous latest research work. They undertake research work, clinical studies, analytical observations, descriptive observations, etc. Research Committee-Research Ethics Committee activity has been increased drastically due to its collaborations with various universities which made them to initiate many researches in the required field of health care science.
