This university is located in the city of Huizhou Guangdong which was founded in the year 1921. It is an higher education institution. Huizhou University (HZU) offers programs which leads to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in most of the areas of study. In March 2000 it was granted the status of provincial undergraduate university and began to offer undergraduate programs. Huizhou University has nine categories covering the fields such as engineering, science, agriculture, arts, law, economics, history, management and education. It has 16 departments, 42 undergraduate degree programs and another 18 specialized study subjects. Huizhou University publishes a journal named as Huizhou University Journal. To build a Development Center and Chemical Technology Research the university has associated with Sun Yat-sen University. It also worked with the French Lectra System to develop a digital simulation laboratory. The university has hosted many academic conferences and programs. It participated with the University of Toronto and it hosted a Sino-Canadian Education and Technology Seminar. The university has 42 undergraduate programs and 18 diploma program. The institution recently upgraded its equipment and the new library holds over one million volumes.
