IBCP (Institute Of Biology And Chemistry Of Proteins)

The Institute for the Biology and Chemistry of Proteins (IBCP) is a well renowned and advance developed research unit (UMR 5086) administered jointly by the CNRS and by Lyon University. It is situated in Lyon, France. The institute was established in 1990 as a CNRS Unit research and became UMR in 1999 The IBCP institute consists of Protein Science department. The main of IBCP is study proteins at the cellular and molecular level. It aims to study the structure and functions of various small and larger proteins in order to study different phases of biological cell processes. This study is carried out by the help of various techniques like biocrystallography and nuclear magnetic resonance and different approaches like integrative cellular and molecular techniques, both experimental and theoretical such as structural bioinformatics.
