Indian Institute of Information Technology, Lucknow (IIIT, Lucknow) is one of the 20 IIITs being set up by the Central Government in Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode. It has started its first batch from 2015 and is currently being operated from the IIIT, Allahabad Jhalwa Campus. The permanent campus of IIIT, Lucknow is coming up in 50 acres of land at Chak Ganjariya Region, Lucknow. The Institute is being set up with the financial contributions of MHRD, Govt. of India, Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, and U. P. Electronics Corporation Ltd. as industry partner. It is mentored by IIIT Allahabad which has evolved into a center of excellence in IT and IT-security & management and has earned its niche into the top ranked Institute in the country. It has established collaborations with several globally acclaimed institutes in Europe, USA and Asia-pacific rim countries and East Asian Tiger economies. Currently Btech. IT programme is running at IIIT Allahabad Campus since 2015-2016.
