Molecular Biophysics Unit Indian Institute of Science

Molecular Biophysics Unit at Indian Institute of Science was founded in 1971 By Professor G. Ramachandran. The research unit is situated in Bangalore, India. Research unit presently engaged in contemporary Molecular Biophysics and Structural Biology. Research activities in the Unit focus on the structure, conformation and interactions of biomolecules, with the main objective of explaining biological activity in molecular terms. Some of the research areas on which the unit confirms: Protein folding and dynamics, DNA-protein interactions, Genome organization, Membrane channel forming peptides, Unusual DNA structures and control of transcription, etc. The courses offered in the institute are of bimonthly terms which are guided but by highly reputed and experienced professors.
