Borja Institute of Bioetics was formed in 1976 by Dr. Francesc Abel i Fabre, S.J., M.D. a specialist in obstetrics and gynecology, he did his college work in philosophy and theology, and was trained as a researcher at USA. Situated within the autonomous community of catalonia, the Institute is the initial bioethics center in Spain. It had been established as a personal foundation in 1984 and seems as a range of 125 within the Foundations Register in the Generalitat DE Catalunya. In 2000 it had been incorporated into the Universitat Ramon Llull as a university institute.The Borja Institute of ethics (IBB) is an institution of upper education located in Barcelona, Catalonia(Spain ). The name of the institute pays tribute to Francisco American state Borja , third General Superior of the Society of Jesus. The IBB aims to endorse transdisciplinary dialogue on biomedical and technological progress and its impact on public. The challenges conferred by the usage of the techniques needed to the technical and humanistic disciplines which enter into a method of dialogue. So you can discover shared values in a dynamical and plural society. It starts from a reality but which it is now no longer attainable to offer answers from one perspective. His inspiration is Christian, but the link with alternative visions of the world is promoted.
