Institute of Advanced Technology, University of Science and Technology of China is a comprehensive national key university. The Institute is affiliated to Chinese Academy of Sciences. The Institute took the initiative to adapt the challenges and requirements of domestic and foreign science technology, social and economic development, education. The Institute moved to Hefei in 1970 and there it began a second venture. More than 15,500 students are present in this institute, out of which more than 7400 are undergraduates, more than 6200 had done their MasterâÂÂs degree, more than 1200 are doctoral students. Departments which are present in the Institute of Advanced Technology, University of Science and Technology are School of Mathematical Sciences, Colleges of Life Sciences, Earth and Space Sciences, School of Management, School of Public Affairs, School of Humanities and Social, School of Mterials Science and Engineering, Nanotechnology and Nano Bionics Institute, School of Physics, School of Chemistry and Materials Science, Quantum Information and Quantum Science Frontier Collaborative Innovation Center, Hefie National Standards laboratory for Microscake Material Science . Some of the Master Lecturers of the Institute are Xiong Hui, Zhao Feng, Mark H. Tememens, Lu Zhengtian, Iao Tianlong, Zhou Zhenghong, Wu Guoxiong, Yao Xin. China University of Science and Technology is commited to the Scientific exploration and high-tech innovation. It also focuses on the development of management and humanities characteristics. The Institute is a combination of education and science and it also been involved in the process to promote cross-disciplinary, technological and scientific innovation talents,and also to expand knowledge and cutting-edge technology, and finally to enhance Scientific and Technological competitiveness in China and also to promote the technological and scientific achievements transfer in to service of regional economic development. Some of the projects are Slow but sure progress towards quantum computing, Quantum repeater are perfectly realized, Iron based superconducting materials have made significant progress, The multi photon entanglement and optical quantum computing experiments made a new progress, In the optical fiber communication to achieve a successful anti-jamming quantum cryptographic distribution program, Experimental realization of the most distant free space quantum teleportation, Scalable quantum information processing has been a major breakthrough, China University of Science and Technology for the first time successfully achieved âÂÂSingle photon multi-degree of freedom quantum teleportationâÂÂ. Research institutions are National Synchrotron Rdiation Lboratory, Hefie National SATANDARD Laboratory for Microscale Material Science, State key Laboratory of Nuclear Electronics. In 2008 Institute of Advanced Technology, University of Science and Technology of China had celebrated 50th anniversary of the funding. The establishment of the Planning and Development Office was held in order to cope with the new challenges under the new situation and also to implement the overall plan of the school leaders on the basis of the original planning research office to achieve in the organization and work arrangements to ensure that our school strategic planning in the new era of high starting point and high quality. ãÂÂ
