With a workforce of nearly 200 people, the CNSN is the chemical division of the CNRS campus in Gif sur Yvette. The Institute is located on the edge of the future Paris-Saclay campus, which will comprise almost 10% of French research, and is an integral part of this new university. The ICSN develops activities at the chemistry-biology interface, with the natural substances as object of study and main source of inspiration. One of the largest chemistry research institutes in France, located in an exceptional setting on the campus of the Gif Research Center, ICSN is home to about 200 people, researchers, engineers, students, post-docs, technicians and administrative staff. The ICSNs activity covers all aspects of the chemistry of natural substances and their interactions with biology and is supported by an exceptional set of analytical instruments. The combination of dynamic personnel and scientific equipment that we benefit from at ICSN offers a very favorable environment for high-quality research, which has allowed the CNSN to see two of its molecules marketed as anticancer drugs. They invite world to visit their database to learn more about the CNSN, those who contributed to its reputation, on the genesis and evolution of the different themes. These range from the exploration of new natural substances, vegetable, marine or microbial origins, to the elucidation of structures, to the total synthesis or hemi synthesis of natural substances and / or inspired by nature but endowed with properties Pharmacological, to the determination of mechanisms of biological actions. The main purpose of the CIBI platform is to propose to the scientific and medical community some original biological targets involved in various pathologies (carcinogenesis, neuro-degenerative diseases and infectious diseases) and to develop innovant tools of screening to highlight the therapeutic potential of new compounds in these pathologies. Our laboratory has set up a systematic test and evaluationplatform for pharmaceutical research including a High Troughput Cell-Based Screening Facility (HTSF) for chemical compound screenings. Our automated High Throughput Screening (HTS) robotic workstations can also perform a wide variety of biochemical and cellular assays. CIBI will give you differnet opportunities for : • Screening projects entirely realized by the engineers of CIBI • Accessibility to certain equipments (ex : robotics) • The development of collaborative scientific projects • The implementation of partnerships with actors of the industry
