Instituto de Investigaciones Biomédicas "Alberto Sols"

The "Alberto Sols" Biomedical Research Institute (IIBM), a joint center run by Spain's Higher Science Research Council ("Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas", CSIC) and the Autonomous University in Madrid (UAM). The IIBM is currently one of the most important Biomedical Research Centers in Spain. Its scientific aims are distributed across the 3 Research Areas of the Institute: Pathophysiology, Metabolism and Cell Signaling, and Cancer Biology. In addition, teaching forms a very important part of our activities.
