The Institute for Nature and Forest (INBO) is the Flemish research and knowledge center for nature and sustainable management and use. INBO had conducted many researches and provided knowledge to the people interested in it. The Nature Report transfer (NARA T) has mapped the ecosystems in Flanders and describe the mechanisms that influence the demand for services and their delivery. Institute for Nature and Forest includes different departments like Department of Biodiversity & environment containing Genetic diversity, Species diversity, AQWEST, Habitat Diversity, Environment & Climate, Science support services and Department of Management and Sustainable Use consist of Genes forestry Sources: Baudouin Michiels, Wildlife management, Aquatic Management, Ecosystem Management, Nature & Company. The institute provides information for international reporting. It is part of national and European research networks including LTER, ALTER-Net, LifeWatch. INBO employs about 220 and Equity about 50 employees. Therefore in total INBO employs about 270 people. Around 4839 articles are being published including some Conference abstract, abstract proceedings related to bioversity. Every two years INBO brings for the Flemish Government an organised report on the state of nature related to nature conservation, forestry, agriculture, hunting and fishing in Flanders. The next natural reporting cycle was found to be (2014-2018) which is regarded as an ecosystem assessment for Flanders according to INBO.
