Founded in 1931, Jining Normal University is a higher education institution located in the large town of Jining (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Inner Mongolia. Officially accredited/recognized by the Department of Education, Inner Mongolian Autonomous Region, Jining Normal University (JNU) is a coeducational higher education institution. Jining Normal University (JNU) offers courses and programs leading to officialy recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. JNU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services. The school offers 9 subjects for students. They are Science, Literature, History, Law, Education, Engineering, Agriculture, Management, and Arts. There are altogether 27 undergraduate majors, 42 junior college and higher vocational college majors(3-year programs without degrees)

Our university has 3 campuses, covering the area of 1,069,038 square meters (1603 Mu), with the total construction area of 354,551 square meters. The value of equipment and instruments amounts to 67,126,500 RMB Yuan. There are 861,300 books and 100,000 e-books in the library. Fixed Assets amount to 1,032,000,000 RMB Yuan. We have got perfect computer network service systems. Jining Normal University has 14 departments. They are Pre-School Teachers’Institute, Chinese Department, Politics and History Department, Foreign Language Department, Mathematics Department, Computer Science Department, Physics Department, Chemistry Department, Physical Education Department, Music Department, Fine Art Department, Mongolian Language Department, Biology Department, Economy and Management Department. Currently there are 9455 students.
Statistics:
The faculty and staff number of the university is 794, including 483 full-time teachers and 26 part-time teachers. Among them are 40 professors, 131 associate professors, with 2 professors awarded special allowance by the State Council. And many teachers have got different types of awards by the relevant authorities, with 1 provincially celebrated teacher, 1 outstanding young or middle-aged expert, 5 provincially excellent teachers. 6 teachers got awards from Zeng Xianzi Education Foundation, with 1 first class, 1 second class, and 4 third class repectively. 4 professors have been selected as members of the 3-2-1 Talent Project of Inner Mongolia.
Research:
A haystack of scientific papers produced from the college has been published at home and abroad of the field, including 24 in SCI or EI, 198 in core journals; 11 monographs of the field have been published. There are 8 scientific and technological achievements recognized at provincial or ministerial level. Some achievements on research have reached or approached advanced national or international level.As life sciences are progressing rapidly, the college is continuing to evolve and develop. We are aiming to create a center of excellence both in teaching and research nationally and internationally.
