Jodhpur National University (JNU) is a state private university created under the state government private university act by state government. The University is situated in the suburbs of Jodhpur and is housed in a campus of 30 acres. The University will provide interaction with highly qualified and dynamic faculty of 132, faculty has published 58 research paper, 20 books in a very short period. Faculties are equipped with 79 labs, 137 journals and 26000 state of the art library books.

Students of Electronics & Communication department from Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Jodhpur National University (JNU) are working on a unique project by the name of “Antenna Receiver for Weather Forecasting”. Project Guide Prof. Avnish Bora (Sr. Faculty, JNU) informed that a weather satellite (NOAA) image receiver using software defined Radio has been installed at JNU Campus and has been tested successfully. This unique receiver works for capturing real time weather information.
