Kent State University

Kent State University was established in 1910 for training the teachers as a part of Lowry Bill, with a sister school Browling Green located in Ohio, presently known as Bowling Green State University. It worked as Ohio State Normal College At Kent, renamed as Kent State Normal School in 1911 after the name of William S. Kent. Being the only state university, its first president was John Edward McGilvery. The classes at the Kent State University Started in 1912 without any basic infrastructure. It was famous for the summer schools and the largest of all the teacher-training in United States. Finally in the year 1929 it was renamed as Kent State College and established university school for arts and sciences.
