The laboratory of Mouriscade was created in the year 1990 by the Excma. Provincial Council of Pontevedra as a line of the Agrarian Service. Laboratory is located in Finca Mouriscade, property of the same Organism and approximately few km away from Lalín. The Laboratory of Mouriscade, belonging to the Excma Provincial Council of Pontevedra began its activity in 1990 and in 1993 and then opened the line of analysis on products destined to animal feed: silage, feed and raw materials. The Mouriscade Laboratory belongs to a public and institutional, non-profit organization, which allows us to provide services to the livestock sector at a very low cost. The main objective of laboratory is to provide a fast, reliable and totally independent service to the parties that may be involved in the sector. Meat of prairie, corn syrup and unified ration are the sample service provided by the laboratory. The feeds and raw materials of microbiology are analysed. Samples of forages, feed and raw materials are minimum required, if sample amount is of lower quantity laboratory cannot assure the repetition of an analysis. The three parameters E.Coli, Enterococcus and Total Coliforms are required for the water sample analysis. The samples are required for the determination of germ. Mouriscade Laboratory has publication in different fields like Total bacterial count in raww milk using the Bactoscan 8000, Determination of fat, protein, and total solids in cheese by Near-Infrared Spectroscopy, Analysis of fermented milk products by Near-Infrared Reflectance Spectroscopy, etc. Tesins are made in collaboration with the University of Santiago.
