Laboure College was founded in year 1892 and was named as Carney Hospital Training School for Nurses. Laboure College is not a residential college but a commuter college. It is a catholic college. They focus on the health sector and hence offer degree in various courses of health science. The courses it offers are Bachelor of Science in nursing, associate of science in nursing and in allied health programs, Electroneurodiagnostic Technology, Health Information Technology, Nutrition & Food Management/Dietetic Technology, and Radiation Therapy. It was credited as Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE) in 2005 under the NEASC Commission. The mission of the Laboure College is to prepare men and women for carrers in nursing and health sciences by high quality education. Their mission is committed to Judaeo-Christian principles which greatly influence the college environment. They prepare the students in such a way that their practices and hard work are reflected on the patients and they are also able to address complex issue related to health care and society.
