MYERSCOUGH COLLEGE

Myerscough College Built on the site of the old Myerscough Hall, some six miles north of Preston, Myerscough College is a land-based Higher and Further Education college dating back to the 19th century. The original college was agricultural, and based on the south side of Preston near Hutton, moving to the current site in Bilsborrow, near Garstang, in 1969. Various other Myerscough Centres have been added since - in Blackburn, Burnley, Liverpool and Manchester. Each offers a variety of land-based and sport courses. In addition, there is the Myerscough Centre in Dorset - The Lynwood Veterinary Hospital - which specialises in veterinary nursing. The college offers both further and higher education. Myerscough is one of the UK’s largest land-based and sports colleges, offering degrees in more than 20 exciting subjects. We work in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire and are amongst the top UK institutions in the sector for student satisfaction - helped by exceptional resources and a unique countryside location. Our QAA Higher Education Review puts us amongst the top institutions in the country for quality learning opportunities and good practice teaching. We are very proud that 97% of Myerscough degree students’ progress to further study or employment. Objectives: 1)      Develop a College-wide culture which actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion 2)      Ensure a positive inclusive student learning and social experience through equality of opportunity and the celebration of diversity. 3)
